2. SNO

Dear Mr Smith

Unfortunately, we have been unable to read you submission due to the vast quantity of snow, which has recently made it increasingly difficult to answer our letters and emails.  We are currently quite preoccupied by snow and despite our appreciation for your work, you will understand that the snow must take precedence.  Currently the snow is melting and we are monitoring the situation very closely incase it comes back.  Sadly, we will not be reading anything for quite some time; blizzards have blinded all our staff and the frostbite in my fingers makes it incredibly hard for me to concentrate, let alone open letters.    In the unlikely event of a thaw please consider the ice.  It’s really icy.

yours drifting

About Roy Smith

Roy Smith lives in the Medway Towns, where he works with young people and spends a lot of time writing nonsense and enjoying himself. Most of his writing happens at night and other inconvenient moments, when he is regularly interrupted by his dog and the desire to play old video games.
